The home of your files You can find all your uploaded images at My videos. By default everything is stored in your "Home" folder, but you can create additional subfolders if you like, and FTP uploads arrive in subfolders as well once you have transferred them from the SXP Briefcase™. You can change the display order of the filess by clicking on the titles above each column. At the bottom you can find some tools to move and delete the files. Quality control Uploaded files will not be accessible by the public immediately. Members of the Stockxpert quality control team (a.k.a. the admins, reviewers, inspectors) check every single one of them for image quality, subject, composition, releases and metadata information to see if they fit the site. Files can be in one of three states: pending (marked by ), approved (marked by ) and rejected (marked by ). For more info on quality control, please read the upload rules and metadata guidelines.
Uploading files If you want to learn about uploading files, please read the Upload methods section of the Help. Editing / replacing files You can edit footage details by clicking on the "Edit" button at the end of each row. Basically you can modify everything: titles, descriptions, keywords, categories, image type etc. You can also assign one or more model or property releases to the file and even replace it with a new file if necessary. All these functions are accessible through the boxes on the right. Please note that if you replace a file, it will have to be reviewed again. To edit the details of a whole folder of footage clips, click on the "Edit all" button in the folder or go to My videos / Bulk editor and select the desired folder. Always make sure that your titles, descriptions, keywords and categories are accurate, as they are extremely important for your sales. Learn more about our metadata guidelines here. Managing folders To organize your files, you can create a number of folders. They work just like any other folder on your computer - you can move files in and out of them any time. There is one difference though. When you delete a folder, the files contained in it won't get deleted, they will simply be relocated to your Home folder. Managing releases We require signed model releases for images with identifiable people and property releases for photos of certain places. You can use our own PDF releases or an equivalent. Scan and upload signed release forms as JPEG files in My images / Releases and attach them to the corresponding images in either the single image editor or the Bulk editor.
